Experience some of Holland’s idyllic imagery on this guided tour of the northern countryside, only a short 30-minute drive from your hotel Travel over lush farmland reclaimed from the Zuiderzee on your way to the open-air museum Zaanse Schans, where you’ll discover windmills of all varieties surrounded by charming wooden houses. You’ll observe a simpler way of life, representative of how the Dutch lived before industrialisation. Tour one of the area’s working windmills to see the production of oil paint or the iconic wooden shoes.
